One-dish magic: 15-Minute honey garlic salmon & bok choy

by Chelsea Kim

The beauty of Ribbon silicone is its ability to steam and roast simultaneously, locking in moisture without the need for excess oils. This recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight when you want a gourmet meal but don't want to do the dishes.

The Prep (Inside your Ribbon Bowl or Plate)

  • 1 Salmon fillet (fresh or thawed)

  • 1 cup Baby bok choy or chopped broccoli

  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce (or liquid aminos)

  • 1 tsp Honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tsp Grated ginger & minced garlic

  • A squeeze of fresh lemon

The Method

  1. Arrange: Place your greens at the bottom of the Ribbon Bowl. Lay the salmon fillet directly on top.

  2. Glaze: In a small corner of the bowl (or a separate small Ribbon cup), whisk the soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Pour it evenly over the salmon.

  3. The "Silent" Cook:

    • In the Oven: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes. The silicone distributes heat evenly, so the edges of the salmon won't dry out.

    • In the Microwave: If you’re in a rush, cover the bowl loosely and microwave for 3.5–4.5 minutes. The silicone creates a natural steaming environment, keeping the fish incredibly flaky.

  4. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and lemon. Since Ribbon dishes are designed with a matte, architectural finish, you can take it straight to the dining table. No plating required.
